BACKGROUND:
The Navigation Center is a key component of the County's plan to make interim or permanent housing available to every unsheltered person who chooses assistance. Located in Redwood City, the Navigation Center provides 240 non-congregate units with intensive support services. Half of the funds received pursuant to this grant agreement will be used by the Human Services Agency to support an onsite, hands-on job training program, and the other half of the funds will be used by County Health to support the onsite dental clinic to all residents of the Navigation Center and unsheltered residents in the surrounding area.

DISCUSSION:
This grant agreement will support the Navigation Center's operations by contributing towards the job training and oral health services available to residents of the Navigation Center and other unsheltered residents in the surrounding area.
