BACKGROUND:
In April 2015, Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) services for youth, delivered in a non-traditional behavioral health setting, using the Project SUCCESS and Seeking Safety service models. Puente de la Costa Sur (Puente) responded with a proposal that was selected for the provision of these services.

In September 2019, BHRS released an RFP for Trauma-Informed Co-Occurring Prevention Services for Youth, previously known as MBSAT. Puente was one of four providers that responded and was selected to provide these services.

In November 2021, this Board approved an agreement with Puente for Project SUCCESS services and Trauma-Informed Co-Occurring Prevention Services for Youth, in the amount of $335,771, for the term of July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022.

In July 2022, this Board designated the Chief of San Mateo County Health or designee authority to approve a Cost-of-Living Adjustment amendment and extend the term through June 30, 2023, increasing the amount by $366,293, for a total amount not to exceed $702,064.
