BACKGROUND:
The County Executive's Office has three contracts for services that will expire on June 30, 2022, which will either be submitted as new agreements or for extensions by the end of September 2022.

The County's contract with Service League of San Mateo County (No. 078487(c)) currently includes services for both in- and out-of-custody services for the justice-involved population. The portion to be included in this continuation of payment is limited to out-of-custody sober living/transitional housing services, which will be managed by Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) in the future. Continuing payment provisions on this portion of the contract from July 1, 2022 through September 30, 2022 and corresponding payment in an amount not to exceed $25,000 will allow BHRS the necessary time to negotiate future services and prepare the proper contractual documentation for a new agreement.

The County's contract with Project READ (078487(d)) currently includes out-of-custody services for the justice-involved population. The portion to be included in this continuation of payment is limited to the services provided at the transitional housing sites. Continuing payment provisions for this portion of the contract from July 1, 2022 through September 30, 2022 and corresponding payment in the amount of $15,000 will allow for the necessary time negotiate future services and prepare the proper contractual documentation for a new agreement.
