BACKGROUND:
Youth Leadership Institute (YLI) has provided county-wide Friday Night Live (FNL) coordination, training and technical assistance on youth development and environmental prevention efforts for San Mateo County for over 10 years. YLI develops and supports FNL chapters and youth-led environmental change projects throughout San Mateo County. YLI has over 20 years' experience coordinating community-based programs for young people and adult allies in Marin County, City and County of San Francisco, Fresno County, City of Long Beach, Eastern Coachella Valley, Merced County, and San Mateo County. YLI builds capacity though youth-adult partnerships to support the successful development of county-wide and community-based substance use prevention efforts.

DISCUSSION:
Through this agreement YLI shall: 1) serve as the lead agency for substance use disorder prevention services through its FNL program in the Half Moon Bay region of the County; 2) assess the knowledge of County residents, provide education on the impacts of opioids and cannabis/vaping, and engage the community to determine effective ways to limit access and exposure to opioids; 3) serve as the lead agency for...
