BACKGROUND:
On July 1, 2017, the County and Transit Agencies entered into an agreement for Law Enforcement and Emergency Dispatch services, as approved by Resolution 075861 by this Board on April 21, 2018.

DISCUSSION:
The original agreement had a three-year term which ended on June 30, 2020, and a total fee of $617,049.

The parties now wish to extend the term of the agreement by five years, commencing July 1, 2020 and expiring June 30, 2025, with a corresponding increase in fees to $1,193,019.

The proposed amendment was approved by the Board of Directors, San Mateo County Transit District on November 4th, 2020 and by the Board of Directors, Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board on November 5th, 2020.

County Counsel has reviewed and approved this amendment as to form.

FISCAL IMPACT:
