BACKGROUND:
The Housing and Community Development Committee (HCDC) makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors related to the expenditure of all housing and community development funds, reviews and provides a forum for public comment on affordable housing and community development needs and priorities related to the development of the Consolidated Plan and related Annual Action Plans.

DISCUSSION:
Dean Isaacs has served on the HCDC since 2011 and is seeking reappointment for his third term. Mr. Isaacs has over 30 years of experience in the retail and commercial real estate industry, having worked from a property owner's, retailer's, and developer's perspective, while working on varied projects all over the Western U.S. He currently manages and leases a 14-property Peninsula, East Bay and South Bay-based portfolio of retail, industrial and office properties for Prodesse Property Group, a 26-year old privately-held property management company based in Foster City. He started with four properties in 2011, handling all commercial properties for the firm.
