Recommendation for reappointments to the Housing and Community Development Committee, each for a term ending December 31, 2023:
A) Larry Moody, representing Member Low Income, for a third term; and
B) Dean Isaacs, representing Member At-Large, for a third term; and
C) Ramanan Raghavendran, representing Member At-Large, for a first full term; and
D) Jenny Skoble, representing Member At-Large, for a first full term.

BACKGROUND:
The Housing and Community Development Committee (HCDC) makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors related to the expenditure of all housing and community development funds, reviews and provides a forum for public comment on affordable housing and community development needs and priorities related to the development of the Consolidated Plan and related Annual Action Plans.
DISCUSSION:
Dean Isaacs has served on the HCDC since 2011 and is seeking reappointment for his third term. Mr. Isaacs has over 30 years of experience in the retail and commercial real estate industry, having worked from a property owner’s, retailer’s, and developer’s perspective, while working on varied projects all over the Western U.S. He currently manages and leases a 14-property Peninsula, East Bay and South Bay-based portfolio of retail, industrial and office properties for Prodesse Property Group, a 26-year old privately-held property management company based in Foster City. He started with four properties in 2011, handling all commercial properties for the firm.
Larry Moody has served on the HCDC since March 2011 and is seeking reappointment for his third term. Larry Moody was elected to the East Palo Alto City Council in 2012. Mr. Moody was born in Hartford Connecticut and studied Political Science at Trinity College. Following a 16-year management career in the Hospitality Industry, he and his family moved to East Palo Alto in 1992. Mr. Moody is married with four adult sons. He is a Veteran of the United States Air Force.
Ramanan Raghavendran and Jenny Skoble have each served on the HCDC since their partial terms in June 2016 and are seeking reappointment for their first full term.
Ramanan Raghavendran is the co-founder of Amasia, a venture capital firm with offices in San Francisco and Singapore that invests in technology companies with global ambitions and needs. He also serves as a Trustee of the University of Pennsylvania, and as an Overseer of the School of Arts and Sciences at Penn. He serves as Chair of the Governing Council of Penn’s Institute for the Advanced Study of India; and as the Global Coordinator of the Penn Alumni Interview Program.
Jenny Skoble obtained a Juris Doctorate from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York. She currently volunteers as a mediator at Community Boards in San Francisco, Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center in San Mateo and serves as Board Chair of Coastside Children’s Programs in Half Moon Bay.
