BACKGROUND:
Pursuant to the California Welfare and Institutions Code Section 1752.1, a contractual agreement may be entered into between the Director of the State of California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, with the approval of the Director of Finance, with any county of the State of California upon request of the Board of Supervisors for diagnosis and treatment services as well as temporary detention for selected cases of persons eligible for commitment with CDCR/DJJ, in connection with the operation of the Juvenile Court.
