John Nibbelin - County Attorney reported out to closed session. The Board considered the Notice of Intent to remove the Sheriff in closed session as noted in the Board Memorandum that accompanies this item. The Notice of Intent concludes that the Sheriff engaged in multiple acts of misconduct that if true would support removal from office based on causes set forth in Section 412.5 B1 of the San Mateo County Charter, which is a violation of a law related to the performance of the Sheriff's duties 412.5 B2 of the Charter, which is flagrant and repeated neglect of duties and 412.5 B5 of the charter, which is obstruction of an investigation into the conduct of the Sheriff. | | |
