Adopt a resolution authorizing an amendment to the agreement with Advanced Management and Consulting, LLC to provide on-call project and construction management services, increasing the amount payable by $1,000,000 for a revised not to exceed contract value of $2,500,000.

BACKGROUND:
The Project Development Unit (PDU) oversees multiple large capital projects which require substantial support from specialized consultants, including on-call project and construction management services responsible for managing design services, providing bidding assistance, developing construction management plans, and other essential activities to ensure project quality control.
Advanced Management and Consulting LLC (AMC) has provided excellent service on San Mateo Medical Center Renovation Project, County Office Building 3, Navigation Center and recently completed Parking Structure 2, Lathrop House Relocation, and Skylonda Fire Station 58. Based on continued positive performance, staff recommends the County continue to work with AMC.
DISCUSSION:
By executing an amendment to the AMC Agreement, the contract value will increase by $1,000,000 for a revised not to exceed amount of $2,500,000 to cover the duration and cost of anticipated work for the current assignment of projects.
The resolution contains the County’s standard provisions allowing amendment of the County fiscal obligations by a maximum of $25,000 (in aggregate).
County Attorney has reviewed and approved the amendment and resolution as to form.
EQUITY IMPACT:

The teams created from diverse project and construction manager personnels brings a range of experiences and perspectives that come together to serve a common goal of assisting the County provide the facilities needed to service the community.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The not to exceed amount for the agreement is $2,500,000 in aggregate. The cost of the contract will be funded by the budgets for the individual projects to which the consultant is assigned.
