BACKGROUND:

The Public Authority Advisory Committee was established to meet and confer with the Public Authority about those aspects of the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Program that relate to home care providers. The Advisory Committee will focus primarily on issues relating to IHSS provider training and the maintenance of the IHSS Provider Registry.

                                                                                

DISCUSSION:

Ligia Andrade Zuniga was first appointed to the Public Authority Advisory Committee in October 2015 for her first full term. While the terms for the Public Authority Advisory Committee are for up to four years in length, members may serve for terms as determined by the Board. Approval of this reappointment would be for a third and final 4-year term effective January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2027.

 

Ligia Andrade Zuniga has been a recipient of In-Home Supportive Services since 2012 and has served as the Chair of the Public Authority Advisory Committee since July 2016. Ligia is a strong advocate for persons with Disabilities and serves on various County and Community committees.
