BACKGROUND:
The economic well-being of our communities relies on a skilled and adaptable workforce. To this end, the partnership between NOVAworks, the workforce development board serving San Mateo County, and the Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD), the workforce development board serving the City and County of San Francisco, is instrumental. This partnership embodies the power of regional cooperation in addressing workforce challenges.
NOVAworks and OEWD have come together to strengthen workforce development efforts, pool resources, and create opportunities for job seekers and employers. This collaboration has led to a range of benefits, including the alignment of workforce strategies, the sharing of best practices, and the facilitation of cross-border access to employment and training services.
