BACKGROUND:
Measure K is the half-cent general sales tax initially approved by San Mateo County voters in November 2012 for 10 years and extended by the voters in November 2016 for an additional 20 years through 2036.

On December 13, 2016, this Board approved recommended Measure K allocations for FY 2017-19 to provide services for older County residents.

In April 2019, this Board approved the following contracts through June 30, 2020: Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association, Inc. (ADRDA); Daly City Peninsula Partnership Collaborative (DCPPC); Edgewood Center for Children and Families (ECCF); Institute on Aging (IOA); and Ombudsman Services of San Mateo County, Inc. (OSSMC).

In June 2020, this Board adopted a resolution that approved funding for DCPPC, IOA, and Peninsula Volunteers, Inc (PVI) for FY2020-21.

In June 2021, this Board adopted a resolution that approved funding for DCPPC, IOA, OSSMC, and PVI for FY 2021-23.
