BACKGROUND:
On June 23, 2020, this Board adopted Resolution No. 077488 which authorized the President of the Board of Supervisors to execute an agreement with Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill, LLP (SOM) for the design and engineering of County Office Building 3 (COB3). Under the direction of the Board, COB3 upon completion, will be an approximately 200,000 square foot office building designed to achieve sustainability goals including certification in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and Zero Net Energy.

DISCUSSION:
SOM was recently asked to propose a landscape re-design of the County Center Civic Promenade that compliments the landscape surrounding COB3 for a more cohesive landscape experience for the public and the surrounding community.
