BACKGROUND:
San Mateo County Parks Foundation: The San Mateo County Parks Foundation ("Parks Foundation") was established in 1998 to provide additional financial support for the recreational, environmental, and educational programs and projects of the San Mateo County Parks Department ("Department").
James C. Brice Living Trust: Mr. James C. Brice named the Department as a beneficiary of his estate. Mr. Brice passed away on December 26, 2017, leaving to the Department an unrestricted cash donation of $7,920.18.
DISCUSSION:
Parks Foundation
In FY 2021-22, the Parks Foundation provided $187,787.00 in cash donations to be used for various projects, programs, and events in the San Mateo County park system. The table below reflects cost estimates for each project, program, and event. Actual funding allocations may vary upon completion of the project, program, or event.
