BACKGROUND:
The San Mateo Health Campus Project (Project) consists of: demolition of aging and seismically insufficient health facilities that are approximately 70 years old; construction of a new 70,000 square-foot Hospital Administration Building; construction of the Coroner's morgue and office; substantial renovation of the Hospital Nursing Wing and Central Plant; and the installation of other campus improvements including a prominent and easily navigable entrance and photovoltaic arrays.

The Project, which contains multiple inter-related phases, is well underway. Renovation of the Nursing Wing Ground Floor and Central Plant, under the jurisdiction of the State Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) formerly known as the Office of Statewide Planning and Development (OSHPD), is complete. In addition, vertical construction on the administration building has been completed and interiors are scheduled for completion by the end of 2022.
