BACKGROUND:
For the efficient and effective statutory compliance of the review of juvenile operations in this county, the Court and the Board have agreed that the appointees by the Court to the Juvenile Justice Commission are appointed concurrently by the Board of Supervisors to the Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention Commission.

DISCUSSION:
With the recommendation of the Juvenile Judge Susan Irene Etezadi, Presiding Judge Leland Davis III recommends the appointment of Ameya Nori, Wesley Liu, and reappointment of Sathvik Nori to the Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention Commission for the term prescribed by law. Ameya Nori is being recommended for an initial partial term ending December 31, 2025. Wesley Liu is being recommended for appointment to a seat formerly held by Steven Duddy, for an existing partial term ending December 31, 2025. Sathvik Nori began serving a partial term in April 2020. His current term incorrectly expires June 30, 2022 due to administrative error, but should have held a December expiration date to coincide with the December 31st ending of members' terms. Approval of this memorandum shall reflect the correct 4-year term as January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2025.

This is a request that the Board of Supervisors appoints the above-listed commissioners to the Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention Commission.
