BACKGROUND:
On November 13, 2018, this Board adopted Resolution No. 076281, which authorized the Agreement with CSW/Stuber-Stroeh Engineering Group, Inc. (CSW) to provide design and construction support services for the Mirada Road Pedestrian Bridge Replacement and Bank Stabilization Project (Project) in the amount of $336,241.

As authorized by Resolution No. 076281, the Director of Public Works executed Amendment No. 1 to amend the name of the consultant from Parisi CSW Design Group to CSW/Stuber-Stroeh Engineering Group, Inc. and to extend the term through November 12, 2023.

DISCUSSION:
Amendment No. 2 increases the not-to-exceed amount to $450,241. CSW performed the work necessary to design, meet permit requirements, and complete the plans and specifications for bidding of the Project. Project construction is anticipated to begin in summer 2022. CSW will continue to provide professional services and support during bidding and construction.

During the Project's design phase, additional efforts were necessary to meet the conditions and requirements of the Coastal Development Permit issued by the California Coastal Commission (CCC).
