Recommendation for the reappointment of Katie Kostiuk to the Coastside Design Review Committee, representing Architect, for a second term ending March 31, 2025.

BACKGROUND:
The Coastside Design Review Committee (CDRC) reviews new development proposals to ensure that they are compatible with the physical setting of the site and the visual character of the communities of Montara, Moss Beach, El Granada, Miramar, and Princeton. The Committee reviews development applications for compliance with specific site planning and architectural standards developed for the area. In Summer 2018, the CDRC initiated on-going discussions through Special Open Study Session meetings for the purpose of updating the current Design Standards for the Midcoast.
DISCUSSION:
Katie Kostiuk is a licensed architect who began serving on the CDRC as an Alternate Architect in August 2017, and became a member Alternate in March 2019. Upon approval of this reappointment, Katie will be serving her second full term as an Architect member.
After applying for permits to build her own house in El Granada, Katie brings to the CDRC direct experience with the Design Review process as well as over 19 years of expertise in architecture and design.
