BACKGROUND:
On February 13, 2018, the Board of Supervisors (the "Board") adopted Ordinance No. 4794, a pilot Accessory Dwelling Unit ("ADU") Amnesty Program supported with $500,000 in Measure K funds, and as of December 1, 2021, $475,353 remains unexpended.

The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 ("ARPA") was signed into law in January 2021 and, among other things, it allocates money to States and local agencies that can be used to respond to the COVID-19 public health emergency and the negative public health and economic impacts caused or exacerbated by it.
