Approve an Appropriation Transfer Request (ATR) recognizing unanticipated revenue in the amount of $31,335 for FY 2021-22 from the Silicon Valley Community Foundation for support of wildfire activities related to ongoing preparedness and resiliency work in the areas of La Honda, Loma Mar, San Gregorio, and Pescadero.

BACKGROUND:

The Silicon Valley Community Foundation established a charitable fund in the aftermath of the 2020 destructive wildfires that impacted the Silicon Valley area, included the CZU Lightning Complex here in San Mateo County. The charitable fund was established to benefit those affected by the destructive fires and their aftermath.

 

DISCUSSION:

The Silicon Valley Community foundation (SVCF) is providing a $31,335 grant to Cal Fire - San Mateo Division for support of wildfire activities related to ongoing preparedness and resiliency work in the areas of La Honda, Loma Mar, San Gregorio, and Pescadero. The grant can be used for general operations, including, but not limited to, trainings and/or workshops for the community or staff, general maintenance of equipment, land and other activities that support efforts to safeguard the well-being of the communities due to wildfires.

 

County Counsel has reviewed and approved the resolutions as to form.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no Net County Cost associated with this item. The ATR will recognize unanticipated revenue in the amount of $31,335 for the FY 2021-22 Adopted Budget.
