BACKGROUND:
Pursuant to resolution of the Board of Supervisors, the bylaws of the North Fair Oaks Community Council have historically provided for nine voting adult members and one youth member and one youth member alternate.
DISCUSSION:
Gabriela Ake and Jennifer Ruiz are being recommended for reappointment to serve on the North Fair Oaks Community Council as Youth Member and full Member.
DISCUSSION:
Jennifer Ruiz is being recommended for reappointment to serve on the North Fair Oaks Community Council since the initial term began in 2018. Gabriela Ake is being recommended for reappointment to serve on the North Fair Oaks Community Council as Youth Member since an initial partial term began in May 2021.
Jennifer Ruiz was first appointed to the North Fair Oaks Community Council on August 22, 2018. This will be her second term on the council. Ms. Ruiz has been a member of the North Fair Oaks Council since 2018 and a resident of North Fair Oaks for 25 years. She is active in community work with various organizations including the Climate Ready North Fair Oaks Collaborative. Ms. Ruiz has been in the real estate business for 8 years, currently working in commercial property management. She and her husband also own a maintenance company in the Bay Area.
