RECOMMENDATION:

title

Adopt a resolution authorizing the President of the Board to execute an amendment to the agreement with VRVC, LLC to continue to provide construction management services for County Projects extending the term of the agreement through November 30, 2024 and increasing the amount by $3,000,000 for a new not to exceed amount of $5,517,000.

body

BACKGROUND:

On April 17, 2017, this Board executed an agreement with VRVC, LLC (VRVC) to provide project management support services based on VRVC’s demonstration of competence and professional qualifications necessary for the performance of the services required at a fair and reasonable price.

Subsequently, this Board executed three additional amendments increasing the original contract value by $2,471,001 in aggregate for a revised contract value of $2,571,000.

Since that time, VRVC has successfully provided project management services in support of all PDU projects including the Cordilleras Project and continues to provide high quality consulting services in support of the Project Development Unit (PDU) mission and project success. Services include day-to-day management assistance and coordination, ongoing constructability review, change order analysis, training, substantial project controls, and administrative support.

DISCUSSION:

This amendment will extend the term of the VRVC Agreement for project management services through November 30, 2024, which is six months past the projected final completion date for the Cordilleras Project, and increase the contract amount by $3,000,000, establishing a new not to exceed amount of $5,517,000.

The Resolution contains the County standard provisions authorizing amendments to terms and conditions provided the fiscal obligation is increased by no more than $25,000 in aggregate.

County Procurement has reviewed and approved the extension of this agreement.

County Counsel has reviewed and approved the resolution and amendment as to form.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The costs of services provided pursuant to this amended agreement will generally be borne by the budgets for the individual projects to which the consultant is assigned. There is no Net County Cost.
