Adopt a resolution authorizing:
A) The President of the Board of Supervisors to execute an amendment to the agreement with Skidmore, Owens, & Merrill, LLP, for architectural and engineering services for County Office Building 3 in the amount of $754,030 for additional design service requests; and
B) The Director of the Project Development Unit or designee to execute subsequent change orders that modify the terms and conditions increasing the maximum fiscal obligation by 10% in aggregate or $965,820 for a total not to exceed contract value of $10,624,016.

BACKGROUND:
On June 23, 2020, this Board adopted Resolution No. 077488 which authorized the President of the Board of Supervisors to execute an agreement with Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill, LLP (SOM) for the County Office Building 3 (COB3) architectural and engineering services in an amount not to exceed $8,852,610. The agreement authorized various owner allowances for potential additional scope of work and services, and separately authorized additional change orders not to exceed 10% in aggregate or $885,261.
DISCUSSION:
This amendment authorizes nine additional service requests in the amount of $754,030, which will adjust SOM'S current contract value to $9,658,196. These additional services include, inter alia, Furniture, Fixture, & Equipment (FF&E) consulting and management, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum certification design, construction document development extensions, mockup designs, and plans and specifications for building out the 3rd Floor of the building which will house the District Attorney's Offices.
County Counsel has reviewed and approved the agreement and resolution as to form.
