BACKGROUND:
On March 17, 2015, the Board of Supervisors adopted the Measure A allocation plan for the FY 2015-17 budget, which included district-specific funds and grants, divided equally among the Board districts, for organizations that submitted Letters of Intent that were not funded or, in cases of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances, other one-time projects for organizations that did not submit a Letter of Intent.

On April 28, 2015, Supervisorial District 3 requested $30,000 for FY 2015-16 and $30,000 for FY 2016-17 for a total of $60,000 for the UC Cooperative Extension Head, Heart, Health, Hand (4H)/Healthy Living Ambassadors (HLA) program.

On July 1, 2015, the Public Health, Policy and Planning (PHPP) Director entered into an agreement with the Regents of the University of California for $60,000 to support UC Cooperative Extension 4H Youth Development through the HLA program.
