BACKGROUND:
The Commission on the Status of Women is charged with the responsibility of assessing the needs of women, girls and families in the County. The Commission also acts as a resource to the Board of Supervisors (the "Board") and makes recommendations to the Board annually.

DISCUSSION:
Kelly Keele is being recommended to fill a partial term that ends December 31, 2022 for a seat held by former member Ei Ei Samai. Candra Williams is filling a full term that ends December 31, 2024 for a seat formerly held by Manufou Liaiga-Anoa'i.

Kelly Keele was born and raised in Redwood City and currently lives in San Bruno with her family. She currently works for Stanford University as an Assistant Director of Development in Research. Kelly is an active volunteer, serving for nonprofits and developing the potential of women. She has volunteered with local organizations such as the Junior League and USF's Women in Leadership and Philanthropy event host committee and enjoys applying her skills in relationship management and bringing people together.

Candra Williams currently resides in Foster City and is employed by Gilead Sciences as an Associate Director. Candra believes in servant leadership and has extensive experience with volunteering in a variety of groups, one of which is her Sorority, Delta Sigma Theta.
