BACKGROUND:
The Half Moon Bay History Association (HMBHA) is working to create a history museum to recognize the contributions of all those who have lived and worked on the San Mateo coast around Half Moon Bay, an area known as the "Coastside". The Half Moon Bay History Association was founded in 2006 to preserve and celebrate Coastside history.

DISCUSSION:
After signing a licensing agreement with the City of Half Moon Bay (the City) last year, the organization has the opportunity to convert a historic structure in town into a thoughtful, dynamic museum. HMBHA has secured contributions from community members and other organization to assist with this project. HMBHA's contribution goal for the project is $1.6 million.
The proposed Measure K funds will specifically support the construction of solar panels and the lighting system for the new museum.
