BACKGROUND:
FY 2019-20 Measure K funding was used for the Medical Reserve Corps in the amount of $40,607. This program is a collaborative effort between local communities and the County which enhances preparedness and response to major medical health emergencies and disasters. It is composed of specially trained volunteers who work in conjunction with Public Health infrastructure during emergencies or disasters. Volunteers dedicate their time and expertise in a variety of fields, such as public health, medicine, project management, nursing, and more to ensure a rapid, thorough and safe response to the healthcare needs of the public.

Total Measure K funding for Health for FY 2019-20 was $12.7M and is $13M for FY 2020-21.
