BACKGROUND:
On August 26, 2009, the Parks Department (Parks) certified an Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) for the Coyote Point Recreation Area Shoreline and Promenade Improvement Project. The IS/MND evaluated improvements for both the western and eastern promenades in the Coyote Point Recreation Area. On June 2, 2016, Parks approved an Addendum to the IS/MND, which included updates to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) analysis and Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Plan (MMRP) requirements based on the proposed improvements for the Coyote Point Eastern Promenade Rejuvenation Project (Project). There have been no substantial changes to the Project since the Addendum to the IS/MND was approved and Parks staff has determined that this Project complies with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).

On December 8, 2020, this Board adopted Resolution No. 077914, which adopted the plans and specifications, including conformance with prevailing wage scale requirements and called for sealed proposals for the Coyote Point Eastern Promenade Rejuvenation Project.
