C) Clancy Si France, M.D., representing Business Community for a first full term.

BACKGROUND:
The San Mateo Health Commission negotiates exclusive contracts with the California Department of Health Care Services to arrange for the provision of health care services to qualifying individuals.

DISCUSSION:
Ligia Andrade Zuniga began serving on the commission in January 2017 and is being recommended for a reappointment for a second full term. George Pon has served on the commission since an initial partial term in October 2013, making this reappointment his first full term. Clancy Si France began serving a partial term in July 2017 and is being recommended for reappointment for a first full term.

Ligia is an individual living with a disability that requires specialized care and is passionate about representing underserved and underrepresented populations as the daughter of parents who immigrated from Central America. She has served on the San Mateo County Commission on Disability; Center for the Independence for Individuals with Disabilities; Public Health Authority Advisory Committee and other groups that advocate for the most vulnerable.

George Pon has been a San Mateo County pharmacist for 45 years. He retired after 34 years as a pharmacist for Kaiser Permanente.
