Recommendation for reappointments to the Housing and Community Development Committee, each for a second full term ending December 31, 2024:
A) Nell Selander, representing as City of South San Francisco's Economic Development and Housing Manager; and
B) Richard Halloran, representing the Commission on Disabilities.

BACKGROUND:
The Housing and Community Development Committee (HCDC) makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors related to the expenditure of all housing and community development funds, and reviews. The HCDC also provides a forum for public comment on affordable housing and community development needs and priorities related to the development of the Consolidated Plan and related Annual Action Plans.
DISCUSSION:
Nell Selander and Richard Halloran have each served on the HCDC since February 2016 and are being recommended to serve for a second term.
Nell Selander serves as Deputy Director of the Economic & Community Development Department with the City of South San Francisco. In this role, she manages the day to day operations of the Housing & Economic Development Division, which is charged with winding down the former South San Francisco Redevelopment Agency, managing the City's affordable housing programs and Community Development Block Grant, and supporting the City's business community. Before joining the City of South San Francisco, Nell served as the Economic Development Coordinator and then Economic Development & Housing Manager with the City of San Carlos. Prior to that, she worked on various, large capital projects for the Columbus Downtown Development Corporation in Columbus, Ohio.
