BACKGROUND:
On February 27, 2018, your Board approved an agreement between Sonrisas Dental Health, Inc. (Sonrisas) to provide dental health services to homeless and farmworker individuals in San Mateo County as part of a grant received from the Bureau of Primary Health Care, Health Resources, and Services Administration (HRSA). The Health Care for the Homeless and Farmworkers Health Program (HCH/FH) had planned to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) for dental services in the second quarter of 2020. In order to provide enough time to release an RFP as well as ensure continuity of services for the homeless and farmworker community, HCH/FH is proposing that your Board approve this amendment extending the term of the agreement through June 30, 2021.

The amendment and resolution have been reviewed and approved by County Counsel as to form.

The resolution contains the County's standard provisions allowing amendment of the County fiscal obligations by a maximum of $25,000 (in aggregate).

The County's Contract Compliance Committee has approved a waiver request for a forty-two months ...
