Recommendation for the reappointments of Ligia Andrade and Gladys Pasiecznik to the Public Authority Advisory Committee, representing At-Large Members, each for a second term ending December 31, 2023.

BACKGROUND:

The Public Authority Advisory Committee was established to meet and confer with the Public Authority about those aspects of the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Program that relate to home care providers. The Advisory Committee will focus primarily on issues relating to IHSS provider training and the maintenance of the IHSS Provider Registry.

                                                                                

DISCUSSION:

Ligia Andrade and Gladys Pasiecznik were first appointed to the Public Authority Advisory Committee in October of 2015 and are seeking their second full term on the committee.

 

Ligia Andrade has been a recipient of In-Home Supportive Services since 2010 and  has served as the Chair of the Public Authority Advisory Committee since July, 2016. Ligia is a strong advocate for persons with Disabilities and serves on various County and Community committees.

 

Gladys Pasiecznik has worked as a Provider in the In-Home supportive Services program for since 2007. She represents Recipients on the Committee due to her role in caring for a family member but is also knowledgeable of the providers’ experiences due to her long service as a caregiver.
