BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION:

Per California Government Code 27131, the County Treasurer has elected to appoint Connie Mobley-Ritter, Director, Treasury for San Mateo County Transit District, to serve on the Treasury Oversight Committee as one of the five public members nominated by the Treasurer, subject to the Board of Supervisor’s confirmation. San Mateo County Transit District has not had representation on the Treasury Oversight Committee since 2014.

 

Ms. Mobley-Ritter oversees the treasury, revenue, and B2B sales functions of the San Mateo County Transit District, the administrative body for the principal public transit and transportation programs in San Mateo County, California. These programs include the SamTrans bus service, which includes Redi-Wheels paratransit service; Caltrain commuter rail; the San Mateo County Transportation Authority; and the newly formed San Mateo County Express Lanes JPA. She is a Certified Treasury Professional with the Association for Financial Professionals and has served in a variety of treasury leadership roles for over 20 years. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Business Administration from Midwestern State University.
