Measure K: Adopt a resolution authorizing an amendment to the agreement with One East Palo Alto for multi-cultural wellness center services, outreach and engagement services, mental health first aid, crisis response, and parent project, increasing the amount of the agreement by $37,260 to an amount not to exceed $551,577, with no change to the agreement term.

BACKGROUND:
On September 17, 2019, your Board approved an agreement with One East Palo Alto (OEPA) to provide multi-cultural wellness center services, outreach and engagement services, mental health first aid, and crisis response, in the amount of $514,317, for the term July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020.
DISCUSSION:
OEPA will continue to provide four distinct services: 1) multi-cultural wellness center services that welcome adult behavioral health consumers; 2) outreach, engagement, and linkage services through the East Palo Alto Partnership for Mental Health Outreach; 3) training for community partners about how to identify and help people with mental health issues; and 4) a culturally competent crisis response to the Ravenswood City School District.
Through this amendment, OEPA will: 1) facilitate two Parent Project courses, teaching parents/caregivers parenting skills focusing on how to improve their relationship with their children funded by Measure K; and 2) provide activities related to the East Palo Alto Homeless Drop-In Center funded by the Mental Health Services Act.
