BACKGROUND:

During bargaining for the Extra Help MOU with AFSCME and SEIU, the County, AFSCME, and SEIU reached agreement revising the terms for split shift differential pay.  The County, AFSCME, and SEIU have met and conferred in good faith and agreed to revise their respective MOUs for regular employees.

DISCUSSION:

The respective side letters cover all regular staff in classifications represented by AFSCME and SEIU. The recommended side letters to the Memoranda of Understanding with AFSCME and SEIU covers the period remaining on the existing agreements through October 2, 2021. All other terms and conditions currently in effect will remain through October 2, 2021.

County Counsel has reviewed and approved the resolution as to form.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The cost associated with these changes will have minimal impact to the budget.
