Recommendation for the appointment of Juan Carlos Prado to the North Fair Oaks Community Council, for a three-year term ending December 31, 2022.

BACKGROUND:

The North Fair Oaks Community Council has traditionally been comprised of a nine-member body. This recommendation will fill the existing Council vacancy.

 

DISCUSSION:

The North Fair Oaks Community Council will benefit from the addition of Juan Carlos Prado, who has worked as an educator since 2001, and is currently with the Sequoia Union High School District. He has served as a Legislative Aide to a former County Supervisor and was President of the Bay Area Gardeners’ Association and understands his community of North Fair Oaks. Mr. Prado is interested and excited to serve on this Council.

 

Mr. Prado is being recommended for appointment to the Council for a full three-year term ending December 31, 2022.

 

This appointment contributes to the 2025 Shared Vision statement of a Collaborative Community. Our diverse population works well together to build strong communities, effective government and a prosperous economy, civic engagement - including voting, public service, charitable giving, volunteerism, and participation in public discussions of important issues - is uniformly high among the diverse population of San Mateo County.
