Recommendation for the appointments to the Bayside Design Review Committee, each for a partial term ending March 31, 2022:

 

A)                     Jordan Walker Graham, as Devonshire Community Representative; and

 

B)                     Alpheus W. Jessup, representing Architect.

BACKGROUND:

The Bayside Design Review Committee reviews building permit applications in the design review areas.  The Committee reviews all applications for compliance with specific site planning and architectural standards developed for the area.

 

DISCUSSION:

Jordan Walker Graham has experience in home addition and renovation projects, and interest in community planning and architecture. Jordan has held Board Director positions in both non-profit and for-profit enterprises and was a previous Board Member of the Friends of San Carlos Senior Center.

 

Alpheus (Chip) Jessup has practiced architecture in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties since 1979, with experience in design and construction, including residential, industrial, and commercial. Alpheus currently works at M*Designs Architects as a founder and principal architect. He has also served on various committees including the Handicap Accessibility Advisory Committee.

 

Both appointees will serve initial partial terms ending March 31, 2022.

 

These appointments contribute to the 2025 Shared Vision statement of a Collaborative Community. Our diverse population works well together to build strong communities, effective government and a prosperous economy, civic engagement - including voting, public service, charitable giving, volunteerism, and participation in public discussions of important issues - is uniformly high among the diverse population of San Mateo County.
