BACKGROUND:

The Employee of the Month program was established in December 1984 to recognize and honor County employees who consistently demonstrate an outstanding level of performance.

Our Employee of the Month for June 2019 is Jenny Le-Christensen, a Management Analyst in the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

DISCUSSION:

Jenny Le-Christensen began her career with the Sheriff’s Office as an Intern and continued to promote over her 13-year tenure with the office.  At Transit, Jenny wears a number of hats and juggles multiple projects simultaneously and seamlessly. Jenny is currently working on the implementation of an automated ticketing system that includes coordinating data and with three different counties. Her exceptional work ethic and dedication to the agency, coupled with her innovation and creativity set the standard for our organizational values and excellence.

Jenny recently served as the chair for the 1st Annual San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office Awards Ceremony.  The awards ceremony not only acknowledged lifesaving efforts by our Deputies and Sergeants, but also celebrated community members for their bravery and contributions.  The ceremony was powerful and meaningful to the award recipients, their families, colleagues and members of the organization.   The event was a great success due to Jenny’s leadership, thoughtfulness, and forward thinking.

In addition to the awards ceremony, Jenny was the driving force for the 1st edition of the Sheriff’s Office Magazine. This project took coordination, creative thinking, editing, dedication and patience. The magazine is posted on the Sheriff’s Office website and already the Office has received positive feedback from community members and partners on the quality and content of the magazine.  Jenny did an absolute amazing job on the magazine and we look forward to her work on the 2nd edition.

In summary, Jenny is a valued member of the Sheriff’s Office.  She is dedicated, bright, accomplished, determined and truly cares about the County of San Mateo and the people we serve.

Our County is fortunate to have Jenny Le-Christensen as an outstanding employee.
