Adopt a resolution authorizing the Director of Human Services Agency or her designee to execute:
A) A revenue generating agreement with the State of California Department of Rehabilitation to provide vocational rehabilitation services for the mental health transition age youth and the adult mental health populations in the County of San Mateo, for the term of July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2022, in the amount of $2,672,775; and
B) Additional contract amendments thereto and on behalf of the County so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current fiscal provisions.

BACKGROUND:
The San Francisco District of the State of California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) and the County of San Mateo Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) combine staff and resources to provide vocational rehabilitation services to an underserved and highly vulnerable population within the County of San Mateo. The funds of this agreement enable VRS to provide direct client services to San Mateo residents who have a diagnosis of mental illness as designated by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM V) and meet DOR and San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services criteria, as well as express motivation to seek employment.
DISCUSSION:
The agreement is a revenue-generating agreement with DOR that will fund employment services for a minimum of 900 unduplicated County of San Mateo mental health consumers for the term of July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2022. Those services include: intake, employment preparation, job development and placement, as well as job retention services.
