Recommendation for appointments to the North Fair Oaks Community Council, each for a three-year term commencing on September 27, 2018 through September 27, 2021:

 

A)                     Jennifer Ruiz; representing regular member; and

 

B)                     Francis Santos, representing Youth Member.

BACKGROUND:

The North Fair Oaks Community Council has traditionally been comprised of a nine-member body. This recommendation will fill two existing Council vacancies.

 

DISCUSSION:

The North Fair Oaks Community Council will strengthen with the addition of

Jennifer Ruiz, who works as Property Manager for Heritage Realty, and Francis Santos, who is a Junior at Menlo-Atherton High School. They are interested and excited to serve on the Council.

 

These appointments contribute to the 2025 Shared Vision statement of a Collaborative Community. Our diverse population works well together to build strong communities, effective government and a prosperous economy, civic engagement - including voting, public service, charitable giving, volunteerism, and participation in public discussions of important issues - is uniformly high among the diverse population of San Mateo County.
