BACKGROUND:
On December 6, 2016, your Board approved Resolution 074902 authorizing a one-time $277,000 grant of district-specific Measure A (now known as Measure K) funds to the City of Daly City for exterior renovation of 350 90th St., Daly City, to address ADA compliance issues. 350 90th St. has been identified as the future home of the Daly City Youth Health Center (DCYHC), and these ADA-related improvements were required for the DCYHC renovation/construction to proceed. The City of Daly City subsequently signed a grant agreement with the County in order to receive these funds.
DISCUSSION:
The City of Daly City substantially completed the ADA-related repairs by mid-2017. However, due to protracted negotiations on the additional work required, the project was not fully complete until after the original end date of the grant agreement, September 30, 2017. In order to facilitate reimbursement to the City of Daly City, we are asking your Board to approve the extension of the grant agreement term to June 30, 2018.
The amendment and resolution have been reviewed and approved by County Counsel as to form.
The agreement contributes to the Shared Vision 2025 outcome of a Healthy Community by funding necessary improvements to a building that will house DCYHC, the North County's designated youth health center. It is anti...
