BACKGROUND:
The Coastside Design Review Committee reviews new development proposals to ensure that they are compatible with the physical setting of the site and the visual character of the communities of Montara, Moss Beach. El Granada, Miramar, and Princeton. The Committee reviews development applications for compliance with specific site planning and architectural standards developed for the area.

DISCUSSION:
Kayleen (Katie) Kostiuk (formerly known as Kayleen Pashel), has been an alternate on the CDRC since 2017 and brings over 16 years of experience working in architecture and design. Since her appointment in 2017 as an alternate, Stuart Gunrow resigned as a regular member. Katie will be vacating the alternate position for appointment to the regular member seat.

Kris Lannin Liang has served as an Alternate Community member representing Moss Beach since 2017 and is being reappointed. Prior, she served as the Community Representative for Moss Beach since 2012. Over this time, she has served with diligence and passion for the preservation of the coastal resources.

This appointment contributes to the 2025 Shared Vision statement of a Collaborative Community. Our diverse population works well together to build strong communities, effective government and a prosperous economy, civic engagement - including voting, public service, charitable giving, volunteerism, and participation in public discussions of important issues - is uniformly high among the diverse population of San Mateo County.
