Subject:                      Resource Conservation District Agreement Amendment

RECOMMENDATION:

title

Adopt a resolution authorizing an amendment to the agreement with the San Mateo County Resource Conservation District to increase the amount by $150,000 to an amount not to exceed $762,835.

body

BACKGROUND:

The San Mateo County Resource Conservation District (RCD) is a special district within San Mateo County that provides comprehensive and integrated services around wildlife, water, climate, and agriculture to the local community. On July 1, 2017, your Board approved a contract with the RCD for an amount not to exceed $385,243 for services related to water quality improvement and natural resource protection.

On August 8, 2017, your Board approved an amendment to the agreement for work related to the Butano Channel Restoration and Resilience Project which increased the amount by $150,000 for a total of $535,243.

Then on July 3, 2018, your Board approved an amendment to the agreement for work related to waste diversion and reduction which increased the agreement’s not-to-exceed amount by $227,592.

DISCUSSION:

Due to a clerical error, the increased amount was incorrectly calculated and the exhibits were incorrectly labeled. The current amendment would rectify that error and reflect the correct not-to-exceed amount and the correct numbering of the exhibits. All itemized costs have already been approved by your Board at a previous meeting.

County Counsel has reviewed and approved the amended agreement and resolution as to form.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Appropriations for all services related to the Amended Agreement have been included in the Office of Sustainability’s FY 2018-19 Adopted Budget and will be included in future fiscal years as needed.
