Recommendation for the reappointment of Supervisor Warren Slocum to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, for a term ending February 10, 2023.

BACKGROUND:
The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) is the transportation planning, coordinating and financing agency for the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area.
DISCUSSION:
Supervisor Slocum has served on the MTC since February 2017 for a partial term vacated by Supervisor Adrienne J. Tissier and wishes to be reappointed.
This reappointment contributes to the 2025 Shared Vision statement of a Collaborative Community. Our diverse population works well together to build strong communities, effective government and a prosperous economy, civic engagement - including voting, public service, charitable giving, volunteerism, and participation in public discussions of important issues is uniformly high among the diverse population of San Mateo County.
