BACKGROUND:
The mission of the San Mateo County Transportation Authority is to work to improve transit and relieve traffic congestion in the County of San Mateo. The Authority administers the proceeds of a countywide half-cent sales tax to fund transportation improvements.
DISCUSSION:
Supervisor Groom has served on the San Mateo Transportation Authority since January 2009 and wishes to be reappointed.
