Adopt a resolution authorizing an agreement with the City/County Association of Governments for the County to manage and staff the San Mateo County Energy Watch Program, for the term of January 1, 2019, through December 31, 2019, in the amount of $250,000.

BACKGROUND:
Under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) offers Local Government Partnership (LGP) programs that use public goods funds paid by ratepayers on utility bills to fund energy efficiency projects in the PG&E service areas of the local government's jurisdiction. The City/County Association of Governments (C/CAG) has been the LGP in San Mateo County since 2009.

Your board authorized similar agreements for the 2012 through 2018 program cycles. The 2018 Agreement expires on December 31, 2018.

The SMCEW program has consistently met established energy-savings goals as set forth by PG&E. The 2018 calendar year program cycle energy savings goals for kilowatt hours and peak kilowatts are expected to be met or exceeded by year end.
