Recommendation for the appointment of William Graham to the San Mateo Health Commission, representing Hospital Representative, for a partial term ending January 1, 2020.

BACKGROUND:

The San Mateo Health Commission negotiates exclusive contracts with the California Department of Health Care Services to arrange for the provision of health care services to qualifying individuals.

 

DISCUSSION:

William Graham, has been a leader in San Mateo County health care since 1996 and is currently the President of Dignity Health, Sequoia Hospital since 2015.  Mr. Graham resides in San Mateo.  He will be serving a partial term of a seat that was vacated mid-term.

 

This appointment contributes to the 2025 Shared Vision statement of a Collaborative Community. Our diverse population works well together to build strong communities, effective government and a prosperous economy, civic engagement - including voting, public service, charitable giving, volunteerism, and participation in public discussions of important issues - is uniformly high among the diverse population of San Mateo County.
