BACKGROUND:
On April 11, 2017 your Board approved an agreement with HealthRIGHT 360 to operate a Behavioral Health and Recovery Service (BHRS) Respite Center providing substance use prevention and treatment services, mental health services for seriously emotionally-disturbed students at middle schools within the County, outpatient mental health services authorized by the Mental Health Plan, and the North County Outreach Collaborative providing outreach, linkage, and case management services to emotionally-disturbed youth and others residing in the north region of the County.

DISCUSSION:
It is now necessary to amend this agreement for the BHRS Serenity House Respite Center (SHRC) to add overnight therapist services in order to: conduct intake mental health assessments, address any clinical crisis during the overnight shift, support clients and para-professional staff through the night, support clients in going to higher level of care if needed, and transport clients when safe or when seeking first responder-transportation.

The agreement and Resolution have been reviewed and approved by County Counsel as to form.
