Approve the nomination by the Treasurer-Tax Collector for the appointment of Roberto Manchia and Iliana Rodriguez to the San Mateo County Treasury Oversight Committee.

BACKGROUND:
Per California Government Code 27131, the County Treasurer has elected to appoint Roberto Manchia, County Budget Director, and Iliana Rodriguez, Deputy County Manager to serve on the Treasury Oversight Committee, subject to the Board of Supervisor's confirmation.
Mr. Manchia is currently the County Budget Director for the County of San Mateo. He started his career with the Human Services Agency in November 1996 as the Production Manager for the Vocational Rehabilitation Services Division. He was selected as the Budget and Revenue Enhancement Manager in January of 2004. In August 2012 Mr. Manchia assumed the role of Deputy Director of Finance and in April 2015 he was promoted to the Chief Financial Officer. In December of 2017 he was selected to become the County Budget Director. Mr. Manchia will be taking the place of Jim Saco, who previously served on the Treasury Oversight Committee.
Ms. Rodriguez has served in various capacities for the County of San Mateo. First as Director for the Department of Child Support, in 2013 she was appointed to Agency Director of the Human Services Agency, and now Deputy County Manager. Ms. Rodriguez has over thirty years of experience with the County of San Mateo. She will serve as an alternate for Mr. Manchia when he is unable to attend meetings.
Inclusion of these two candidates on the Treasury Oversight Committee creates representation from the County Manager's Office.
